As part of the ongoing study of I-3, also known as the Third Infantry Division Highway, the Federal Highway Administration will be holding three identical one-hour webinars about the proposed project on Tuesday, May 17, and Wednesday, May 18. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the proposed project and the status of the study, and to let FHWA know that you think the project would be a pointless and destructive waste of money. FHWA’s instructions for joining the webinar are below.
To publicize the webinars, FHWA has prepared a webinar flyer and a fact sheet about I-3, which are available on the WaysSouth website. More information about the project and its impacts is available on our website at http://www.wayssouth.org/campaigns/stop-i-3/.
And remember, you can still submit comments about I-3 on FHWA’s website, http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/planning/section_1927/3rd_infantry_highway/feedback.cfm.
You are invited to join the Federal Highway Administration for an Online Information Session regarding the 3rd Infantry Division Highway Corridor Study. This study is being conducted to satisfy Congressional law; the study estimates costs that would occur if a roadway was constructed to connect Savannah, GA, Augusta, GA and Knoxville, TN. More information about the project is available online at www.fhwa.dot.gov/planning/section_1927/.
Please join us for one of three identical webinar sessions to submit your questions and get answers. Each session will begin with a brief overview of the study process and key findings. Webinars will be offered at the following times:
Tuesday, May 17th from 12:00-1:00 pm
Tuesday, May 17th from 6:30-7:30 pm
Wednesday, May 18th from 10:00-11:00 am
